Resumen

El presente estudio tiene como objetivo verificar el rol mediador de la autoestima  en la relación entre el afecto positivo (AP), afecto negativo (AN) y resiliencia en niños. Se trata de un estudio transversal con una muestra de 188 niños entre 9 y 12 años de edad, aplicándose tres escalas que incluyen medición de la resiliencia, autoestima y afecto positivo-negativo. Se realizaron análisis descriptivos, de correlación producto momento de Pearson mediante los cuales se identifican asociaciones positivas y significativas entre las variables excepto el AN. Del análisis de trayectorias se comprueba que la autoestima es una variable moderadora  sobre las relaciones entre AP y resiliencia. Sin embargo, se requiere continuar identificando variables que mejor explican la resiliencia infantil.
